Recovery mode

NOTE

Introduced in version 1.2.1

Recovery mode is used in troubleshooting cases where the clock is functioning abnormally. Examples could be no sound playing, nothing showing on the display, or a display that is faded or not clear.

It takes 24 hours or less to complete the recovery. You can stop and restart the process at any time. You know the recovery process is done when the e-paper display goes blank and the light turns off.

How To

  1. Disable your alarms and wind-down reminder so they don't interrupt the process.
  2. Go to More > Factory reset > Recovery mode (Can also be triggered from your web control site).
  3. Disconnect from power and don't press any buttons. Let it sit uninterrupted for 24 hours, or until the display goes blank and the light turns off.

After the recovery is done, you can reconnect the clock to power and start charging it again. Please wait 30 minutes or more before you start using the clock again. Test that the clock is back in working order. Be aware that charging the battery after the recovery takes a full day.

Tip: If you try to start recovery mode on a full battery, you want to wait until the battery icon shows in the upper left corner on your clock face before starting the process.
